Moose Sign Highly Sought Playmaker to Super Elite Squad2009-08-06
The Moose are pleased to announce that they have come to contract terms with speedy forward Darcy Meyer
Darcy Meyer, a highly sought after forward from Fredericton, New Brunswick has agreed to contract terms to play for the Maine Moose this season. Darcy is 5'11" and weighs 180 lbs. He last played for Ridley College for 2 years in Ontario on scholarship, completing grades 11-12, where he was an honors student.
Darcy is a gifted playmaker, penalty killer and face off man. His speed has made him a threat in both ends of the rink. He helped to win the Midget AAA championship in Canada as a fifteen year old and played on three other championship teams. He is wanted by several QMJHL and Maritime Junior teams, but has chosen the Moose in order to pursue his dream of attending a NCAA school on a Hockey /Academic scholarship.
Darcy has a older sister, Julie and is the son of Hilda and Barry from Fredericton, New Brunswick.
